Welcome!

Our Tent chose to recognize the achievements of Elizabeth Van Lew since Miss Van Lew was the foremost Union spy in Virginia.

At this time, Elizabeth Van Lew Detached Tent 1 is the only one honoring Union veterans in Virginia. The Tent was chartered with twenty-two members on June 10, 2010, in Haymarket.
